In this series “What Makes A Strong Solo?”, we will be addressing the core parts of what strong and dynamic soloists have dialed in with regards to their sound and soloing concept. For Part 1, we tackle Melodic Clarity, and the fundamental ability of how soloists can clearly state the harmony in simple melodies, providing a layer on which to build upon to lead to more advanced concepts. This course is for beginning improvisers all the way through to more advanced players who wish to review practice techniques that strengthen fundamentals.
Included in this course is the recorded video content, and a PDF containing perspectives on the topic, as well as some notated examples of ways you can use the suggested exercises in your practice routine.
