In jazz, the approach to the twelve bar blues form is progressive.  The player is free to incorporate harmonic and melodic concepts and devices that might not be considered stylistically "bona fide" in more traditional approaches such as folk or electric blues.  In this lesson, Jack will discuss and demonstrate some of these components, including options and techniques for developing the harmony as well as ways to develop an expanded, horn-like linear approach. I love this class. Jack is a very musical guitarist-teacher and it's a delight to hear his ideas on this topic. I often return to this video to get more ideas and a better sense of his phrasing. Recommended!
