Mr. Decaprio is not giving licks, He won't give us the notes We should look for ourselves. He is giving you a way of practicing for the rest of your life.

Let me start by saying I am a lifelong SERIOUS guitarist (40 of my 47 years). I am a graduate of GIT and was Tommy Tedesco's last private student there. <br /> I also independently studied with Ted Greene, Joe Pass, Pat Martino and Barney Kessel.<br /> <br /> unlike the &quot;sweep picking&quot; techniique (which predetermines what you're going play by virtue of 'what fits the technique'), Tony DeCaprio's strategic picking is governed by the LINE, not vice versa.<br /> <br /> I couldn't POSSIBLY give this masterclass a higer rating.<br /> <br /> thanks again, Tony!<br /> <br /> pc

Please don't sing- for one thing you don't sing well, and secondly it throws off the listener. You can't really hear the line as it is played.

Interesting class. Tony is obviously an amazing jazz musician with a unique approach to jazz improvisation, and it was wonderful to obtain an inkling of some of the ideas that he's developed over his long, decorated career.<br /> <br /> I gave this less than 5 stars because I felt like the technical issues that Tony experienced made it a bit difficult to follow along with this class. Not Tony's fault, ultimately.<br /> <br /> Thankfully, this is a class that I will probably return to several times. There is a tremendous amount of information here, and it isn't necessarily presented in a linear fashion. Regardless, I recommend the class, despite the technical issues. Tony is a guru, in my opinion.

this was really an excellent class; full of good material you won't find elsewhere. TD is at the top of the game.
